5 Body Systems That Break Down

“To know a person’s experiences from the past, examine the body now.” ~ Ancient Anon.

It's lovely to assume we will support our bodies perfectly and walk in that divine health that is our God given right once we come into His family. Yet those every once and awhile cheeseburger, milkshake and/or french fries may take a toll. Most notably unsavory conditions come up if we have not cared for our emotional makeup in the way we ought to. Not to mention, 2020 was one giant trigger ball and continues to be for many people who do not understand ways to process negative emotions appropriately.

There is a physical, emotional and a spiritual connection to any body system breaking down. Discovering the root of the break down is called Holistic Medicine, and it's what good doctors worked towards for hundreds of years, up until the advent of medicine as we know it now.

I say good because there was a season when doctors did weird things like leeching literally everyone, including those with seizures. (just look up how George Washington's daughter died)

There are 11 systems in our body and within that an untold number of conditions that are common in our day. While I'd love to discuss any and all of these, and maybe I will, it may be more prudent to ask you all- are there specific break downs you are seeking information about? I may not have THE answer, but I know I have AN answer. Mostly my goal is to help you all investigate your own systems and provoke you to dig deeper.

Feel free to share if you so desire. That said, tried and true beginner thru advanced steps geared to improved health and prevent body systems breaking down will ALWAYS include:

  • Getting rid of toxins

  • Cleaning up your diet

  • Staying well hydrated with clean water

  • Exercising regularly

  • Getting 7-8 hr of sleep

  • Managing stress properly

  • Working on decreasing inflammation

As a reminder: I am not a doctor, and cannot diagnose, treat, or offer to cure you.... it would make the FDA and FTC unhappy. The goal of this series is to provide thought provoking clues so that you can manage your own health a little more effectively and efficiently.

skin issues

Is there anything worse than having skin issues??

Seriously!

Itchy skin, dry skin, acne prone skin, broken out skin, ugh. It's all hard, beyond hard.

You see, your skin is your biggest organ and yet we tend to destroy it and act like it's indestructible. Until it's not.

Some common skin situations I have seen as a hairdresser are:

  • psoriasis

  • acne

  • eczema

  • contact dermatitis

  • rosacea

  • dry/itchy skin

In all of these there are three factors that play into the breakdown of the skin. The physical factor, the emotional factor and the spiritual factor. We are after all, mind, body soul and spirit.

Today we'll address only the physical. Even if you know the problem is from emotions, it sucks so very much to deal with skin issues while you wait for the emotions to catch up, agreed?

Dry itchy skin is common, particularly is dry climates. Drinking more water is first on the list. If plain water is hard to swallow (pun intended) then add the YL Vitality drops- game changer for sure! Applying a healing lotion is key as well so you're getting hydration from the inside and out. This recipe I received from Terry and it is a powerhouse- 10 drops equal Lavender, Tea Tree and Thyme to 1/4 cup of Lavender Lotion. Soothing to be sure.

Contact dermatitis is another localized type of dry or irritated skin. As its name suggests, it is inflammation (itis) resulting from contact to a trigger irritant or allergen. This would be an excellent time to scrutinize your personal care products- read the labels on each and every item you apply on your skin, or that comes in contact with your clothing. CD usually clears up on its own as long as exposure to the trigger has been removed.

Eczema is just a catch-all term for a group of conditions that create skin inflammation or irritation. Research suggests that eczema falls into the autoimmune condition category, and may have a genetic component (as with many autoimmune disorders). However we all know that this doesn't have to be our story. We can turn those genes off. As with other conditions, be sure you are aware and have removed potential triggers, including foods- sugar, wheat, gluten and processed foods are common eczema triggers.

Rosacea, a red or “ruddy” complexion is also a branch of the autoimmune family tree, so wisdom suggests that the one who struggles with this condition would look to supporting the immune and digestive system.

Psoriasis is caused, at least in part, by the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy skin cells. If you're sick or battling an infection, your immune system will go into overdrive to fight the infection. This might start another psoriasis flare-up. Strep throat is a common trigger. We will talk way more about this one in the emotional portion because it is truly triggered most by various emotional stress as well. But a physical taking care of is #1, help your immune system. It's literally attacking itself, so give it some love by supporting it double time. In addition, Sherri shared a lovely healing salve- add one capsule of Life 9 to your lotion that you rub onto the affected area.

still skin, but the emotion side of it all...

Think about it- your skin is literally erupting from emotions if you have some skin anomaly. I live with a man that only after me talking about emotional health, (for 6 years) has he really dove into his own emotional healing, after having chronic skin situations...

I mean some folks just take the scenic route for healing.

In any case, look through this list IF you are working to address skin issues- does it resonate?

If the answer is YES then address the emotion along with the physical. And I'm sure you're going to ask "what oil do I use?" to which I would say "what oil do you like?"

Of course you've all heard me say Trauma Life, Cedarwood, Release etc are the bomb diggity. (Did I just date myself?) But if those are not your jam then what is it you do enjoy?

Most, if not all essential oils address some/most/all emotions. Gary Young use to say- use what you have! Within the Starter Collection there are several essential oils that release any of the below issues beautifully. Thieves and DiGize together are powerful!

But really, what is it that you love, use it, with the intention of releasing conflicts, unresolved feelings of irritation, criticism, impatience.

What do I mean by intentionally using it? I thought you'd never ask!

Grab that journal dear ones, and begin to write out what it is you are wrestling with. As you write, take your oil, breathe it in and imagine it going to the places in your soul that need healing. Give your oils their marching orders. Essential oils used with intention create the most incredible healing responses, trust me when I say this. Pouring a drop of these healers in your hand, breathing them in and even simply thinking of healing and releasing insecurity, conflicts or frustrations, will yield such amazing results. More so than slapping on an oil and crossing your fingers hoping it "works".

Muscle dis ease and dis orders

MUSCLES AND NERVE

dis ease and dis order.

Neuromuscular disorders affect the nerves that control voluntary muscles and the nerves that communicate sensory information back to the brain. Nerve cells (neurons) send and receive electrical messages to and from the body to help control voluntary muscles. When the neurons become unhealthy or die, communication between the nervous system and muscles breaks down. As a result, muscles weaken and waste away (atrophy).- from pubmed

In other words, a muscle dis ease may not be at first attributed to the muscles, but rather the nerves. Again, you may know this but I was a neewb so bare with me. I find anatomy incredibly interesting.

Here are some common conditions folks struggle with:

  • Muscle weakness that can lead to twitching, cramps, aches and pains

  • Muscle loss

  • Movement issues

  • Balance problems

  • Numbness, tingling or painful sensations

  • Droopy eyelids

  • Double vision

  • Trouble swallowing

  • Trouble breathing

All because the nerves aren't working properly!!

And think about THIS! Nerves are a way the body communicates within itself, so if someone has a hard time with good communication and they have a nerve/muscle situation... I'm just saying their body is telling on them. But more on that in the emotion portion.

As mentioned with the skin section, supporting the physical must come along with getting to the emotional root of the issue. It's really tough to stay positive about your healing when you are feeling subpar and the body is just not cooperating. So if you are one of the people who has a nerve/muscle type condition you're working through here are some tangible things you can do in order to assist in finding relief.

Studies have shown that resveratrol, found naturally in red grapes, can begin to give some relief from nerve and muscle "miscommunication". In addition, epigallocatechin galate from green tea and curcumin from turmeric, are quite useful for the treatment of various inherited neuromuscular diseases. All of these can be found within:

  • Ningxia Red- resveratrol

  • AgilEase- curcumin

  • Ningxia Nitro- green tea

  • Master Formula- turmeric, curcumin

If you are one who struggles, I cannot stress enough how much better you'll begin to feel if you are properly supplemented. Essential oils heal the cells, supplements feed the cells. Taking these for 30 days will show you whether or not your condition is on the mend- or at least under control.

Essential oils for never/muscle conditions:

  1. For Pain: lavender, marjoram, lavender, petitgrain, Roman and German chamomile, clary sage, lemongrass, helichrysum, peppermint, ginger, black pepper. Choose one or two and add it to a carrier oil to apply on location of issue. Also, diffusing these in the evening can ease the pain.

  2. For Stress: Rose, frankincense, clary sage, orange, bergamot, grapefruit, ylang ylang, sandalwood, neroli, marjoram, petitgrain, lavender, geranium, tangerine, jasmine.

  3. For Sleep: Lavender, Rutavala, Northern Lights Black Spruce, marjoram, Roman chamomile.

  4. For Headaches: Lavender, peppermint, marjoram, Roman chamomile, Pan-away and M-grain.

  5. For Circulation: Rosemary, ginger, black pepper, peppermint, lemongrass, geranium, cypress.

The essential oils will assist in the cells doing what they would designed to do from the beginning, heal themselves. Please use them with great intention and use them often.

the emotions of muscles...

Should you be someone who is having a little situation with your muscle/nerve systems, it’s likely that it stems from unresolved emotions.

If you glance at this list and toss it aside thinking perhaps it isn’t appropriate for you today- think for a moment. Have you even felt this way? And did it possible coincide with the muscle situation?

I’d venture to guess, because I’ve seen a lot of heads of hair that exposed “guilt”, that this emotion is a culprit for many.

The oil Clarity may assist you in releasing the guilt and know you do not “get what you deserve”.

There is a God in Heaven who has made a way for you- guilt need not be a part of your story any longer.

circulation

Why is it called poor circulation? Isn't that the weirdest term? As if circulation is able to be rich or poor... Rather I would like to call it, slow circulation, or perfect circulation. Either way, there ain't nothing poor about circulation. That blood, no matter the rate at which it flows, is quite rich. Rich with nutrients and vibrancy. Perhaps all you need to do is encourage it to speed things up.

Real quick, here are some of the not so lovely conditions that can occur in someone with subpar circulation: 1.Atherosclerosis- (hardening of the arteries.)

  1. Heart attack

  2. Mitral valve prolapse

  3. Mitral valve regurgitation

  4. Mitral stenosis

  5. High blood pressure (hypertension)

  6. Arrhythmia and dysrhythmia

  7. Cardiac Ischemia

  8. High cholesterol

  9. Heart failure

  10. Stroke

This list is beginning to become exhausting and I'm certain all of you are aware of many of these conditions. We can thank television ads for this...

These conditions are preventable and if they are preventable well, then, they are also quite curable. You only need to give your body the right tools. Of course food choices and movement come into play on this one, big time. Moving is quite key, moving in different directions, walking, running, jumping on a rebound trampoline, biking- all of these activities are vital for exceptional circulation.

For those who work at a desk job, be sure you get up and move for at least 10 minutes each hour. This ensure that your blood gets pumping!

Other studies of shown that an increase in fiber, Omegas, CoQ10, Magnesium, Green Tea, and Vitamin D.

As we have previously discussed, these vitamins and minerals can be found within our main supplement Master Formula. I'm telling you, that little four pack of pills is a wonder for your health. chase it with Ningxia Red and I would say you'd get all your body is requiring. Of course OmegaGize is where we'd find the omegas. If you are vegetarian then you might choose to get your omegas from flax and chia seeds.

OILS

When it comes to perfectly working circulation my favorite essential oil is Cypress. PLEASE NOTE- this oil is excellent for someone who's circulation is ALREADY in great working condition. If someone is in need of a little extra support, they'll want to look into Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum and likely Frankincense. The blend AromaLife is formulated for the heart, yet for me personally, I like to layer my oils so tend to choose singles these days. But everyone's preferences are different, of course.

Your circulation affects literally everything in your body, and then of course, your life. It behooves you to care for it pronto.

the emotions of circulation challenges...

As you can plainly see this literally could be anyone. The choice now becomes, what will you do with this information.

Everyone sings the praises of Cypress for circulation challenges and yet when it comes to the root, you must use an oil that will route out the source.

Release

Envision

Acceptance

Each of these are beautiful oils to begin dealing and healing with the unwanted emotions. THEN apply your Cypress. Start by diffusing one of these blends as you sleep, allowing your mind to makes sense of the emotions. Then move to applying on the feet, pressure points for an extra measure of release.

got your back?

For this particular system we are going in reverse order, beginning with the emotional fix rather than the physical.

Why?

BACK PAIN IS ALWAYS EMOTIONS

"but I step off the deck wrong and twisted my back!" you say?

I know it appears that way, yet your back was weak before you stepped off the deck. The deck was just the proverbial straw...

There is a long history of back issues in my family of origin.

There is also a long history of bitterness, resentment and a general feeling of not being supported in my family.

There is also (quell supriś) a long history of chronic back pain, beginning with my incredibly bitter maternal grandmother.

So I suppose you could say back pain "runs" in the family, or you could say suppressed and unresolved emotions run in the family.

Here's what I know, when I dealt with my emotional mind, the back pain subsided and eventually went away. Only when I choose to hold onto any form of bitterness and frustrations does my back start "talking" to me.

If this list resonates and you have chronic back pain, before you reach for the Cool Azul Pain Cream, start with Valor and Forgiveness.

Allow yourself to experience the oils in their full potential. Choose to release whatever you're hanging on to in your back. Breathe in your oils and imagine they are being directed to that space. Breathe deeply, from your abdomen, for several minutes. Be sure you are focusing on the letting go of all the negative emotions.

Then begin to welcome in forgiveness and healing.

This process can take a little bit, perhaps several times. Keep going, it will release and heal.

physical back healing...

I didn't want to leave you hanging for too long with wrestling with back pain. Remember, as you are layering on the pain creams and pain relieving oils, be sure you are also addressing the emotion behind it as well.

Let's get right to it.

  • Cool Azul Pain Cream- this relief from minor muscle and joint aches, strains, sprains, bruises and arthritis. Use for simple backache or after muscle discomfort after exercise.

  • CBD Muscle Rub-this takes the hot and cold sensation of menthol and gives it a boost by infusing it with an array of essential oils. It pretty much works immediately.

  • Col Azul essential oil blend- similar to the pain cream, the Cool Azul oil soothes tired and sore muscles, bruises, sprains etc. The difference is that this is only essential oils and is not OTC approved for assured pain relief. The oil blend will simply soothe it.

  • Deep Relief- this was designed specially formulated to soothe and cool fatigued muscles after exercise.

  • PanAway- an excellent blend of essential oils that was specifically designed for minor muscle discomfort following exercise. This one keeps bruises at bay and assists the body in the healing process.

I have used all of these either together or separately depending on the severity of the pain. Many times I have taken Pan Away right under my tongue for a quick relief.

No matter what has occurred in your body, or what may be breaking down, it's important to have a look at all the components that may have caused it. A holistic approach is key in healing.
