I Love You with all My, Kidneys?

When my son was diagnosed with cancer I became hyper aware of different times of cancers and general malfunctions of the human body. As I researched the body in general I realized how easy it was to heal the body IF we understand how it works.

So as we all collectively make a shift from focusing on healing the heart and onto healing the kidneys and adrenals, so that everything else will heal, we must first- discover.

The kidneys are powerful chemical factories that perform the following functions:

Why Are the Kidneys So Important?

  • remove waste products from the body

  • remove drugs from the body

  • balance the body's fluids

  • release hormones that regulate blood pressure

  • produce an active form of vitamin D that promotes strong, healthy bones

  • control the production of red blood cells

And here I thought they were just waste removers...

Now here's what's really interesting. The number one sign of kidney troubles is high blood pressure. Another significant sign is puffiness around eyes, swelling of hands and feet. I share that tidbit because my husband has struggled with the puff feet and now we know why. of course the usual suspect of frequent urination, blood etc are signs.

So while you can see the kidneys are a vital function of the body, it's imperative to not simply know, but to take action in supporting them.

  1. Drink water- yes of course we all know this. But I hear over rand over "oh I know, I need to drink more water", but they rarely up the water game. It's also a full body weight in ounces of water. Yes, you'll go to the bathroom often, but you'll also live a long and healthy life. One devoid of being propped up on meds.

  2. Eat your cruciferous foods. You know, cabbage, brussel sprouts and kale. Though kale is not cruciferous, it's a natural known healer.

  3. Take your Super B, Super C and Super Vitamin D. These assist the kidneys in proper function.

  4. Apply Juniper, Cypress and Ylang Ylang over the kidneys morning and night. The first two aid in circulation, specifically for the kidneys and YY helps soothe and restore them. Cellular repair at it's finest.

  5. Drink water. Ooops, did I say that twice? Well, it must be a thing then...

What most people may be unaware of, is how kidney dysfunction can affect the whole physical structure. The main muscles relating to the kidney meridian are the psoas muscles, which are attached to both sides of the lumbar vertebrae with their insertion into the upper thigh bones, connecting the upper and lower structures of the human body.

If there is a kidney meridian imbalance, pelvic pain or discomfort can occur. Due to the interconnectedness of the muscular system there follows tension in the shoulders and upper arms. As the trapezius muscles running from the vertebrae of the neck to the collar bone and shoulder blade also relate to the kidney meridian, the whole structure can be out of alignment.

PAUSE

I know. This information was astounding to me and I need a quick reread of the info, perhaps you want to do likewise so that you fully grasp this. Much of the condition people face really stems from the kidneys malfunctioning. Which is actually rooted in emotional pain.

READ ON

As the kidneys can look like a pair of scales attempting to keep balance, the emotions can reflect this in our relationship with others. There can an inherited feeling of injustice – “It is just not fair!” from one or both parents. If you have children, you are acutely aware of this in their lives. As a result of this perceived issue, there may be a tendency to make a poor judgments. We may focus more on our needs rather than have a full view of the truth of any given situation. However, we have a God-given desire to help others , and then there's the people pleasing aspect which permeates our world.

There are quite a number of emotional issues that stem from unchecked emotions that are stored in the kidneys, yet the only one to really be aware of is fear.

Fear is a liar. Yet many people do not deal with the fear appropriately but stuff it down and allow it to plant a seed, which may manifest in another negative emotion.

A dis-eased kidney can also indicate a perceived lack or powerlessness in relationships or situations. There can be a disappointment after feeling disillusioned when your expectations are not met. This can result in a strong need to criticize or judge.

NOW WHAT

Should any of this resonate with you and you're experiencing a feeling of now what, know this. One must address the physical as well as the emotional all at once. It's fair to say you must heal them both simultaneously otherwise, you're off balance.

As mentioned in previous posts there are a myriad of supplements Young Living offers, in addition to drinking medicinal tea and herbs. Yet I would be remiss if I didn't hammer home the point of healing your body through the use of your essential oils.

  • Joy over the kidneys and abdomen several times a day. This will cultivate a feeling of Joy and happiness within your body so that it can heal itself.

  • Juniper over the kidneys and bladder. Juniper is a known kidney healer and protector.

  • Lemongrass added to Juniper creates a synergistic effect.

  • Endoflex, Geranium, Grapefruit and Clary Sage (all or choose one) will cause the kidneys to function better.

  • Finally, and this is a must- Release. Release essential oil blend will, well, release trapped emotions that are trapped and it will strengthen your kidneys as you heal emotionally.

The Hebrews knew a thing or two about this, we'd be wise to go back and learn from the ancients. In the books of the Bible that follow the Pentateuch, mostly in Jeremiah and Psalms, the human kidneys are cited figuratively as the site of temperament, emotions, prudence, vigor, and wisdom. In five instances, they are mentioned as the organs examined by God to judge an individual.
