Our second Fresh Take is Thieves. Fun how that worked out, right? Considering this too is a Gift with Purchase this month & I suppose YL knows we all could use a little boost in the immune system.
Just for funsies, let's see if I can give you information that you may not know. Formulated after blends from way back (1300s way back) called "Four Thieves Vinegar" or "Marseilles Vinegar", Thieves is an excellent blend designed to cleanse the body and environment when diffused. Everyone knows the power of Thieves and it's consuming abilities of all things bacterial and viral.
But did you know that Thieves can be diffused to purify and cleanse negative emotions and vibrations very quickly. Similar to how sage, palo santo or White Angelica will do, Thieves is extremely clearing. For those in a space that is highly emotionally charged, spray this around the room and watch the energy shift almost immediately. Think you might be diffusing this more often in the office?
Some interesting uses of Thieves oil are:
Indoor air purifier: Thieves oil is said to have antimicrobial properties. According to the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA), adding 50-100 drops of essential oil to your diffuser and leaving the room with closed doors for a few hours can make the air clean.
Breathing support: Adding a drop of Thieves oil to a bowl of hot water and inhaling the vapors are believed to relieve congestion and discomfort associated with lung conditions can open up the airways.
Household cleaning: Personally I prefer the Thieves Household Cleaner, but if you have yet to try it or are in a pinch, adding 15-20 drops of Thieves oil in a tinted or dark spray bottle containing two ounces of distilled water, along with teaspoonful of witch hazel to it and voilá! DIY Thieves cleaner!
Aches and pains: Add one to two drops of Thieves oil to a carrier oil and gently massage over the affected area to get relief from aches and pains.
Sore throat soother: add one drop of Thieves onto a spoon with a TBL of honey to soothe an irritate throat. Or add to a cup of tea or warm water and sip throughout the day.
Plant disinfectants: Blend the same formula as listed above in the DIY cleaner, except fill an 8 ounce bottle with water and spritz on plants to give a little extra life.
As you can tell, Thieves is quite versatile for more than a simple immune booster. Enjoy your Thieves this month!
