Drink More Water

and likely half your ailments will disappear.

“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” -H. Auden

So true, H. Auden, so true.

So yesterday I was talked into takng a group ex class at the gym. How I get talked into these things I'll never know. Wait, scratch that. I love people-ing, that's how. Apparently I will do anything to people more.

Anyhoo, today I am reduced to doing a trust fall with the toilet everytime I need to use the bathroom. You are welcome for the visual...

What I realized is I need to and should have already been drinking more water. Turns out, coffee doesn't count. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but truth is truth.

Since my husband died, some of my more excellent health habits have flown out the window to make room for more comforting less life giving habits. Drinking pure fresh water is one of them. Coffee is a great source of comfort for me so there's that.

I did drink "more" water yesterday, but today my legs are saying, nope, not nearly enough.

If any of these symptoms are yours in abundance or in a minimal amount- up your water intake. I have found that my full body weight in ounces is best. Not the normal half your weight in ounces. Goodness, that is scarcely enough to get me through the morning. Remember too, that if you drink a cup of coffee or soda, that one glass of water simply neutralizes that drink. In other words- one glass doesn't count but rather brings you to neutral.

This is a Summer habit I know everyone can do! And if the taste of water is a meh for you, I hear Young Living has some Vitality drops to enhance the flavor and put a pep in your step. Vitality drops lets you hydrate naturally without sugar or artificial colors with flavors like Grapefruit Bergamot, Lavender Lemonade, Jade Lemon Berry and/or Spearmint Tangerine. What's nice is these give your much needed electrolytes, again, without the nasty sugar and fake colors. Personally, this helps me drink more water because let's be real, if it's a tasty flavor, that will satisfy the need for munching.
